1. Where do the Snorkeling Tour takes place?

We’ll take you to snorkel to the Puerto Morelos reef. It belongs to the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef so you’ll enjoy an snorkeling tour full of biodiversity.

2. Where do you offer the pick up service?

Round transportation is included in the price of the snorkeling tour and we can collect guests staying in Cancún, Costa Mujeres, Puerto Morelos and Playa del Carmen.

3. What does the Snorkeling Tour include?

Our tour includes round trip transportation (hotel- beach -hotel), snorkeling gear, life vest, tour guide and 2 hour snorkeling divided into 2 different spots. Tips not included.

4. How long does the Snorkeling Tour last?

The transfer time from your hotel to Puerto Morelos can range between 20 and 40 minutes depending on your location and traffic conditions. Once there, you will enjoy 2 hours of snorkeling divided into two 45-minute sessions at two different spots on the reef.

5. Is the Snorkeling Tour guided?

Yes, we work with local families that will take you to the best spots so you can see as much marine life as possible.

7. How far in advance should I book?

You can make the reservation up to one day (1) prior to your tour but you must be aware that cancellation policies will apply.

8. Do you have departures every day?

Yes, every day of the year you can enjoy our snorkeling tour.

9. Can I book for a large group?

Yes, thru the website you can make reservations for up to 16 people. However if you have a larger group, you could make several reservations for the same day or book it directly thru our Customer Service team.

10. Do you offer private tours?

Cancun Snorkeling offers group snorkeling; however, it is possible to have a private Snorkeling Tour. Please contact our Customer Service department so you can confirm availability and prices.

11. How much does the snorkeling tour cost?

The price is $138 USD for 2 people. No individual reservations are allowed.

12. What is the price per person for the Cancun Snorkeling tour?

The price per person is $69 USD but we only accept a 2-person reservation.

13. Do you accept credit/debit card payments?

We accept various Credit Cards via PayPal (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Bank of America, etc.)

14. Can I pay in cash?

No, reservations must be prepaid.

15. Do children pay the same rate as an adult?

Yes, children pay the same rate as an adult.

16. Is snorkeling equipment included?

Yes, the tour includes a life jacket, fins, goggles, and a brand new snorkel tube.

17. What should I bring to the tour?

It is recommended to bring a set of dry clothes and a towel for the tour. Also it is recommended to bring cash in case you want to have some extras like drinks or food, and in case you want to tip any crew member.

18. Is Sunblock allowed?

No, the use of Sunblock is NOT allowed. Not even the ecological ones. We encourage our clients to use instead rash guards and hats to protect you from the sun and help us to preserve the corals and marine life.

19. Do I need to know how to swim to join the tour?

It is not necessary to know how to swim. Wearing a life jacket is mandatory throughout the tour, and our guides accompany you at all times to ensure your safety.

20. Can children participate?

For safety reasons, the snorkel activity is recommended for children over 6 years old. Minors can do the activity under their parent's supervision. All children doing the activity pay.

21. Is the Snorkeling Tour not suitable to some health conditions?

We do the snorkeling tours in boats since the ocean is not very deep and larger boats could damage the reef. Therefore, it is important to bear in mind that the ride could be a bit bumpy. Thus, we do not recommend the tour to pregnant women, to anyone that has recently undergone surgery or suffer from any condition that limits you physically (for example: back problems).

22. Is snorkeling safe?

Yes, the tour is completely safe. Clients must be wearing a life vest at all times during the snorkeling tour. Additionally, the boat counts with extra lifesavers and the best is that the Reef is quite close from the coast.

23. What happens if the weather is not good?

If due to weather issues, the Harbor Master should cancel any activity and in the event that guests cannot reschedule, a proportional refund will be made for the activity not carried out. The customer service department will contact you.

24. What happens if I need to cancel or change my reservation?

For modifications or updates, you must contact our reservations department by phone, email or chat at least 48 hrs in advance. You may cancel your reservation up to 3 days prior to service with a 10% penalty fee. There will be no refund for cancellations less than 3 days prior to service.
